Have you ever wanted to sing? Have you always been too shy, scared or embarrassed? Singing is often a very personal expression of feelings and can be daunting for beginners - many believe they simply can't, yet secretly yearn to try.
I work with adults and children from all walks of life, all of whom have their own psychological barriers and insecurities. Whether you want to sing on the professional stage or just in the shower for your own pleasure, in my experience learning has more to do with gaining confidence than mastering good technique, although one usually fuels the other.
Singing lessons are conducted at my home in Westbury, Wiltshire. During a typical 45-minute session, various aspects of singing technique will be explored - breath control, pitch, intonation, memory, phrasing and performance skills are all integral to the learning process.
If all that sounds a little daunting, then rest assured. The lessons are fun and friendly, and with much patience and encouragement you could be on the way to performing in an informal showcase. This is not, however, compulsory!
